A high-profile couple I follow online are getting divorced. They announced it Monday.
I am not surprised, although there was absolutely nothing in their social media or other products to indicate that there was a problem. You see, the wife of this couple had written a piece about the start of a relationship of hers, and it was not good. I always felt like when she got to the portion of the story where she stood up for herself and her needs, she had made the absolute right move to get that man out of her life.
Instead, she married him.
And now they’re splitting.
I feel badly for them and their children. It’s a hard, hard, hard thing to go through, and harder still with young children.
I also feel relieved for her. For the possibility that he was still that guy from the story who felt she was silly and frivolous and immature. I sincerely hope that wasn’t the case, but I worry it was.
It turns out, there’s another book I haven’t read yet by the other half of this high-profile couple. I know he addresses this portion of their relationship in his book, and now (after all this time since it released) I am looking forward to reading the book.
Tsk. Do I finish the very large non-fiction I started first? Or do I read the potentially revealing also non-fiction book? Both are self-help, or supposed to be. Hmm.
I hope you’re having a great day! And if you’re not having a great day, I hope you’re having a good day. And if you’re not having a good day, I hope tomorrow is better. Loves!
Ooo, interesting twist with the other partner’s perspective. I’d be dying to read that part.

I started reading his book so I could find it and compare. So far, he’s not doing a great job making himself look any better. Unfortunately for him.
