I have four cats, and one of them is smaller than the others. That one is also the longest, the stretchiest, and the most flexible, it seems. This morning he managed to lay on both sides of his body at once, his hind legs pointing toward me, and his front legs pointing away.
One of my children captured a photo, so I’ll have to ask them if I can get a copy to share here.
Today my county enters the “yellow zone” of COVID-19 restrictions. I had to double check what that means. Essentially the big change is that in-person retail is allowed again, although curbside pickup and delivery is still preferred. There’s other things – the stay-at-home order is lifted, but large gatherings are still prohibited and movie theaters remain closed.
Which is fine, because honestly I can’t see myself going to sit in a movie theater again any time soon.
Anyway, so things are changing and staying the same.
My big change is that next week I’ll be working from the office again instead of from home. It’s not really a shame, but I will miss being able to roll out of bed at 7, shower at 8:45, and still make it “to work” on time at 9. I won’t miss hauling the computer back and forth to the office, though, like I have these past two weeks when I was in the office one day each week. The thing is heavy.
I don’t have any more videos ready to edit and get online, which means that I would like to film today so I can edit tonight and get it online tomorrow. I don’t have an idea per se, but I do have a direction I could go in if nothing else jumps in my face.
It’s funny. At the start of this stay-at-home thing when everyone was making jokes about all the weight they were going to gain, I did pretty good. I didn’t feel like I was overeating emotionally, I was getting out for exercise, etc. But in the past few days, I’ve flip-flopped. I have been overeating, I have been emotional eating. I suppose I can just chalk it up to my period, but I don’t like to do that if there’s another valid thing I should address. But there isn’t, not really.
Well, aside from the massive bag of Doritos that I brought home from work because we used to keep snacks in the kitchen available for whomever, but we’re stopping that now because Obvious Reasons. I have been kind of determined to make that bag of chips go away, and thus have been eating more of them than I did at the start of the shelter-in-place.
I could blame the Doritos.
I posted a few days ago (Tuesday, I believe) a collection of tweets and videos, and one of the tweets was a collection of recommended books. I went through the list Wednesday or Thursday, and found that every single one of those was unavailable in print form on Amazon. Yikes, I say. I did not move quickly enough. That’s good for the publisher and author, though. And yes, I could get them on ebook, but I think there are some books I would really like to have in print. Physical copies, that I can write in and hand to someone else to read.
Yeah.
Well, I’m off. I need to get my computer plugged in and functioning, and start my day.
I hope you have a great day!
And if you don’t have a great day, I hope you have a good day!
And if you don’t have a good day, I hope tomorrow is better.
Loves!
