Gorgeous!

It’s an absolutely lovely day right now where I am. The storms took the humidity away a bit, and the sun is warm, and the green things are very, very green.

Gorgeous.

I had a plan this week to get videos up on certain days (Monday, Wednesday, Saturday) and so far I’ve done well. I have the Saturday video ready to post, but then I thought it might be nice to have today be a vloggy kind of day, but I’m not doing so well. I think if I get it recorded well, I’ll put it up Monday. It sounds like a plan.

Today is Laundry, and I have a little more than usual. It might add another couple hours onto the time, which is less optimal, but should work out okay. I have plenty to do – a couple ebooks to read, journals, and my video planning notebook. I need to get some ideas planned so I can post stuff next week. I think I might have some good ones, too. We’ll see.

I’m watching Swiss Family Robinson for no reason whatsoever. I didn’t realize there was another version made before the one I’m watching, so I may watch that one, too, for no reason at all. It’s one of the movies we taped off of the Disney Sunday show way back when. Does anyone else remember when Disney played their movies on TV on the weekends? We taped quite a few movies that way. Ah, the days of the VHS and the VCR, renting it from the movie rental place at first, then getting our own.

The actual first film we recorded off TV was Aliens, with Sigourney Weaver. It took a lot of re-watches before I was able to not get my pants scared off. And then I wasn’t even watching the whole film! I’m still startled when I watch something now that I had seen as a kid over and over on videotape from TV, and realizing just how much had been edited out. It was a heck of a lot!

Anyway, I suppose that’s enough nostalgia for now. I keep starting sentences I forget how I wanted to finish them because I get distracted by the TV. Not helpful when writing the blog!
